May 2022 Elections
We will elect the judges and prosecuting attorneys in our courtrooms, as part of the “nonpartisan judicial general election.”
If you choose a ballot for a political party, you will also vote in that party’s “preferential primary,” to choose which candidates you want to run in the November General Election. For example, Democrats will decide their candidate for county sheriff, and Republican voters will choose their candidate for sheriff. These two candidates will face each other in the November general election.
